Daughter of Janet and Steve Wenger. Lauren is a 2 Meter Defender. She
has worked hard since
she was 13 years old to become a member of the USA WOMEN’S NATIONAL
TEAM.

THIS SEASON: Lauren Wenger
enters her final season at USC with 90 career goals.
2005: Wenger USC's second leading
scorer with 44 goals as a junior... Named a Third Team All-American
and Second Team All-MPSF... Named First Team All-NCAA Tournament...
Had a career-high six goals against Santa Clara on Feb. 25... Scored
four goals against Cal State San Bernardino on Feb. 5... Had a hat trick
against Long Beach State on April 9.
2004: As a 2004 sophomore, Wenger
scored 19 goals... Earned NCAA All-Tournament second team honors.
2003: Wenger finished fifth on the
team in scoring with 27 goals in her 2003 freshman season... Led the
team with two goals in a 7-6 overtime loss on April 26 against UCLA
at the MPSF Championship... Scored three goals in an 11-9 win on Feb.
2 against UC Santa Barbara.
NATIONAL TEAMS: Wenger is a member
of the U.S National Team.. Recently helped Team USA win silver at the
2005 World Championships...
HIGH SCHOOL: She earned All-America
honors at Wilson High in Long Beach, Calif... Earned All-CIF and all-league
first team honors... Also played on the 2002 Pan-American championship
squad... Earned scholar-athlete award all four years.
PERSONAL: She is majoring in policy,
planning and development... Parents are Steve and Janet... Her sister,
Jana, is a junior on the team... Birthdate is March 11, 1984.
Lauren
is the Winner of the Prestigous Peter J. Cutino Award !!
Most recently, Wenger was named to
the All-MPSF First Team in recognition of her versatility as one of
the country's top 2-meter defenders, a powerful offensive force and
USC's steals and assists leader this season. Wenger has scored 32 goals
for the Trojans this season, and has moved up to rank in an eighth-place
tie on USC's all-time career scoring list with 122 career goals. She
was also named to the MPSF Mikasa All-Tournament Team following the
MPSF Tournament action. As a member of the U.S. Women's National Team,
Wenger won silver at the 2005 World Championships in Montreal.
